We are one of the largest, most modern and experienced Lithuanian private capital enterprises involved in supplying transport and logistics services to Northern and Eastern Europe. We began our business in 1993 with the goal of gaining international recognition for our business and becoming a key partner in international supply chains.

We continue in this mission today, extending our activities to serve new markets and new customers.

Our experienced and qualified team provides transport and logistics services on both an international and regional scale, covering the EU, the UK and the Baltics.

From our first day of business, we have been steadily growing. Starting first as a primarily Baltic operation, we have carefully scaled up our operations to the fully international company we are today. Vilnius is home to both our warehouses and our operational center, and we currently employ over 2000 trained professionals and maintain a fleet of over 1250 vehicles.

Our History

1993 The private capital enterprise UAB “Transtira” was established in 1993. The principal activity is international cargo transportation. The specialization: cargo transportation by own vehicles from / to Italy.

2000 In course of the business extension, the enterprise founds a subdivision of international forwarding to ensure high quality transportation of small cargoes upon using services of international partners in Italy.

2001 The itineraries of international cargo transportation are extended. A regular cargo transportation line Lithuania- Spain is established.

2002 The international itineraries are extended towards the West. The regular cargo transportation lines between the Baltic States and Germany, Belgium, Holland, France, Slovenia, Great Britain, Austria, Switzerland are established. The fleet of the enterprise grows up to 50 vehicles.

2003 The established regular cargo transportation network in the Baltic States improves the position of the enterprise in the said Region.

2004 UAB “Transtira” invests in establishing its central office in Grigiškės. The enterprise settles at a complex that includes 700 sq m for bureau premises and 4000 sq m area for warehouses and repairs of vehicles in the 25000 sq m territory. After opening of the central office in Grigiškės, a terminal for logistics services is established. Then an enterprise in Latvia named SIA “Transtira” is established. High quality services in international cargo transportation and forwarding by road vehicles and cargo transportation by marine transport are provided.

2006 The cargo transportation lines to Slovakia, Poland, Czechia and Hungary are established. The number of own vehicles achieves 80.

2007 The cargo transportation line to Kaliningrad Region (Russia) is established. The number of own vehicles achieves 110.

2008 The itineraries of international cargo transportation are extended. Regular additional cargo transportation lines from / to Italy, Germany, Poland, and Austria are established.

2009 The cargo transportation lines from / to Turkey, Finland and Sweden are established. The number of own vehicles in the fleet achieves 140. In addition, lines of cargo transportation by marine transport (in containers) and air transport are established. UAB “Transtira” becomes a member of International Forwarding Association (IFA).

2010 The fleet increases to 155 vehicles. Over 300 qualified professionals are employed at the enterprise

2011 The fleet of own vehicles increases to 200, and over 350 qualified professionals are employed at the enterprise. UAB “Transtira” further extends the services of cargo transportation by marine and air transport and becomes one of the leaders of this market.

2012 UAB “Transtira” acquires specialized vehicles and provides services of transportation of trucks, trailers, agricultural equipment, special equipment and outsized cargoes.

2013 The fleet of own vehicles consists of 350 vehicles, and more than 700 qualified professionals are employed at the enterprise.

2014 The fleet grows to 450 vehicles. More than 800 employees are employed at the enterprise.

2015 The fleet grows to 600 vehicles. More than 1200 employees are employed at the enterprise.

2017 The fleet grows to 800 vehicles. More than 1500 employees are employed at the enterprise.

2022 The fleet grows to 1100 vehicles. More than 1900 employees are employed at the enterprise.

2023 The fleet grows to 1250 vehicles. More than 2000 employees are employed at the enterprise.
