Transtira Transport UAB has been participating in and supporting the Operation Clean Sweep ® (OCS) program in its activities for the past three years.

The Operation Clean Sweep® (OCS) program and manual provides guidance for managers of plastics processing, production and transport processes to reduce accidental losses of granules, flakes and powder from processes and their penetration into the environment. The spread of microplastics is particularly important for fauna, i.e. birds, fish and animals that ingest them, which can have a negative impact on their health and life. In order to implement the OCS principles in our business, we have developed the necessary plans (as Risk minimization plan to prevent and address spills/losses of plastic pellets and their recurrence) and guidelines, consistently train our staff and try to motivate our personnel and subcontractors to actively participate in this program.

We encourage all companies cooperating with us to join the program by signing the Declaration and implementing the OCS program.
